As many Australian story's go it was a bit of a hold my beer moment! Not to mention a bit of stubbornness. Early in 2022 I decided I wanted a truck to help on the family farm and start a freight company focusing on loads the the big guys didn't want to touch.
Now being the type of person I am, I decided no, "I don't want a new truck, I want a project". The brief was simple a Pre emissions heavy rigid, that looked tough and needed a bit of work. After looking for a short time the perfect truck came along, the beauty you see before you today. A 1984 Volvo F10 with a tray and a decent weight rating, Perfect!
Being A family owned and operated business. Wal and I took a father and son road trip out to the central west to find this gem. Wal did worn me that this old girl needed some work, Wal put his 40 years of transport knowledge to the limit examining the old girl. But in my eyes its was perfect, exactly what was needed and only a quick three or four month turn over. Well two years later the big girl has been given a new lease on life from custom hand made interior to a new coat of paint the old girl has had every nut and bolt touched right here in house at WillHaul.
